Psychological health and safety plays a critical role in protecting workers in New Brunswick. WorkSafeNB recognizes that workers in a high‑risk environment may face repeated exposure to traumatic events that could potentially lead to traumatic psychological injuries (TPIs). Preventing and reducing these injuries requires proactive, evidence‑based initiatives that address workplace psychological hazards and strengthen protective factors.
The Psychological Health and Safety Prevention Grant Program supports projects that prevent or mitigate TPIs and/or enhances workplace psychological health and safety in New Brunswick workplaces. The program provides funding for innovative, time‑limited initiatives focused on awareness, training, early intervention and prevention. Through this grant, WorkSafeNB will advance psychological health and safety and supports learning, evaluation, and system‑level improvement across the province.
